UK AFRICA NETWORK

The UK Africa Network is a forum where members of The Scout Association, with a specific interest in Africa, can share knowledge, ideas and experiences.

In August 2003 a whirlwind study tour was undertaken to introduce the UK-Africa Network to the Africa Scout Region office and the National Scout Associations of Kenya and Tanzania.

On 12th. August 2003 the network visited the Kenya Scouts Association and the Rowallan Campsite on the outskirts of Nairobi.

During the visit, the network visited YES (Youth Education Support) Centre in Dagoretti Division.  During the visit, YES Project was symbolically officially launched by Mr. Jonathan Cooksley Chairman UK-Africa Network accompanied by Mr. David Bull International Commissioner The Scout Association (UK), Mr. Stephen Clark Assistant County Commissioner (International) Greater London South West (GLSW) Scout County and Mr. Doug Corbin District Commissioner for East Middles... Cleveland UK  later 

The launch was also presided over by Senior Chief Charles A. Nyambisa of Kawangware Location in Nairobi Province, Scout Area Commissioner Dagoretti, Local Scout Friends, Orphan Scouts, Orphans Guardians, Community Leaders and Scouter Paul Kabao as the Founding Director YES Project.
