YES INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE

 

YES International Committee is the top management and fundraising Committee of YES International Project.

 

The main activities is to provide the organisation leadership and to mobilise project funds.

 

The Committee strives to engage in sustainable activities so as to raise funds for the YES Project.  It also enhances a culture of fiscal sustainability and ensures the existence of surplus at the country level at all times.

 

To be successful in carrying out its goals, YES International counts on its active International Committee who understands its role and pursue it with passion and a mission orientation.

 

YES International Committee is currently composed of three voluntary members as follows;

YES International Committee:

Principally, YES International Committee is responsible for:

• guaranteeing the country level projects

• providing organisation leadership

• complimenting the financial needs of the project for the furtherance of objectives

• ensuring continuity

• providing technical and monetary support to the project

• funds raising, inviting and receiving contributions from any person through solicited and unsolicited donations, annual or other subscriptions or legacy for the support of the project.

• managing the project funds which should be governed by the Laws under the country of their registration and in conformity to the project policy.  In some countries, the fund is be exempted from all country Taxes.

 

• Guiding the work of YES International, so that it adheres to its established policies, procedures, and rules.

 

• Reviewing the goals and actions of YES International, Sub-Committees, Task Forces and the Country Board of Directors and evaluating the actions completed.

 

• Reviewing policies of YES International and upon review, making recommendations for revisions, extensions or modifications of approved policies

 

• Taking actions and making decisions on behalf of the YES International, that are judged to be in the best interest of the YES International when such actions and decisions relate to matters that may arise at a time and under circumstances which will not permit any delay

 

• Reviewing motions and recommendations brought to the YES International Committee and referring motions and recommendations to the appropriate Committees for their review and guidance to.

 

• Overseeing and advising the YES International Executive Director and YES Country Directors on the administration of YES International.

 

• Reviewing the budget established for YES International.

 

• Supervising with the YES International Executive Director matters dealing with Risk Management and Insurance

 

International Executive Director:

The YES International Committee appoints the YES International Executive Director to help get the YES International message out into the International community and to carry out various functions on behalf of the YES International Committee.

 

YES International Executive Director implements decisions of the YES International Committee and heads the YES International Secretariat Staff.

 

YES Country Director:
Upon the recommendation of the YES International Executive Director, YES International Committee appoints the YES Country Directors to help get the YES International message out into the national community and to carry out various functions on behalf of the YES International Executive Director.

 

YES Country Board of Directors are affiliated with YES International Committee.

 

The role of the YES Country Board of Directors are to;

1. Serve as liaisons and contact person for all YES International Committee, YES International Executive Director and YES Task Forces

2. Make representations, present briefs, and serve as a catalyst for YES International.
3. Attend conferences, meetings and training camps speaking about YES International.
4. Help organize Country activities for youth and community
5. Provide country news for publication in YES Action Journal.
6. Recruit members for YES Country Projects
7. Provide and mobilise resources to support country activities.
8. Maintain regular contact with the YES International Executive Director.
 
YES International supports YES Country Directors by providing:

1. Resource materials, business cards (where needed), leaflets and brochures.
2. A 'profile' in the YES Action Journal.
3. Recognition in the YES International Award
4. Recognition at the YES International Camps
5. A Certificate acknowledging role as YES Country Directors
